Let Your Feelings Flow

How do you feel about your life right now? When I ask people that question I’m often met with two different responses. The first one is full out complaining about everything and everyone in their life. The second response is forcing a smile and trying to make everything seem great while covering up the truth of how they really feel.

 

What do these two responses have in common? They both are focused on making something wrong. Making others wrong for how they are being or not being or making yourself wrong for feeling how you feel. Needing or looking for things to be wrong keeps you stuck in a loop of judgment. You don’t create new things by noting everything you hate.

Moody You

Have you ever tried to force yourself to stay in a good mood? Feels pretty awful huh? With all the talk of being positive, it can come across that we should be aiming for an exuberant mood shooting sunshine out of all our orifices all day and night. To be in a fantastic mood all the time is very unrealistic and sets us up for feeling like failures. Our moods and vibration naturally fluctuate all the time. So please be easy on yourself and realize that you do not have to be “perfect” happy or smiling all the time in order to have a fabulous life. Actually being easy on yourself and accepting that sometimes you’ll be in a crappy mood will allow you to get out of the lower vibrations even faster :-)

Are you ready to take back your power to choose? We all make countless choices every day. What to wear, what to eat and drink, and even where we will focus our thoughts and attention. Usually, we think it's easy to choose what foods to eat or the types of clothing we will wear, but not the thoughts we think. That somehow what we are victims of our thoughts and that they just bounce around from one thing to another without our input.This couldn’t be further from the truth.

 

Many of us are taught that life just happens to us. That we are either lucky or not so lucky. We are either born into the right family in a good neighborhood or not. And If you didn’t happen to get blessed with the right family, great looks etc, you can still maybe change your life a little bit if you work really really hard. The Power of Your Intuition

The word intuition is thrown around a lot these days , but what is intuition?One of the definitions on  dictionary.com com says intuition is; The quality or ability of having such direct perception or quick insight.

Although there are many definitions and perspectives on what intuition is, lets focus on it being a quick insight. I personally have noticed how extremely quick and subtle most intuitive information can be.

I think this is one main reason that people miss the insights or don’t trust them. They are expecting the sky to open up and a personalized letter with the answer to float down into their laps. That would be amazing, but I don’t think that’s gonna happen anytime soon LOL!

The Power of Your Body

When you think about your body what is the first thing that comes to mind?  If your first thought wasn’t very positive or uplifting you’re not alone.  Self loathing is rampant in most parts of the world.  And I could easily say that judgements of our bodies is the #1 thing I hear about most from clients, friends and family.  One of my greatest intentions in my life is to help others to truly love and appreciate their bodies more. As I’m writing this I have tears in my eyes.  I struggled for so many years being overweight and in pain.  At one point, I could barely walk any short distance without becoming out of breath and my legs experiencing shooting pains.  I had no idea how I was ever going to lose weight when I could barely move.  At this point I had no choice but to start trusting my body; knowing that it could make the changes I wanted and trusting that my body was powerful...

Did you know that your voice is as unique as your fingerprint? Nobody else sounds exactly like you or ever will.. But, your voice also extends beyond the words your speak with your vocal cords.

Your voice is expressed in every email, texts, song or passage in a book you write. I also see and perceive your voice as the energy signature that you leave on everything you touch or create, including every room you walk into and ever persons life you touch.

Take a moment and become aware of how many lives you’ve already touched in a positive way. That’s a lot of lives!!The throat, vocal cords, neck and thyroid are associated with the fifth chakra. It is very interesting that Thyroid issues have been increasing over the years. Many are diagnosed with autoimmune disorders, basically meaning the body is attacking itself.

Space to Create

I’m taking time this week to do some soul searching. At the end of each year I like to look around at what’s in my physical space and let go of things I no longer use or want. This is actually something I like to do every few months, if I can. I also use these last few weeks to finish up projects around the house too. This includes finishing work projects, or just letting them go completely.

To start, I sit down with all my lists, personal and professional, I’m a big list maker. I have stacks of notebooks scattered around everywhere!! I like to see things written out in front of me. I personally find it easier to stay focused having it written down and find that its very satisfying to mark things as complete.

Please use whatever methods work for you to help keep track of your progress and hold you accountable. So once I have my lists open I simply feel into the things and see if they still resonate with me or not. If I don’t feel interested or in...

Get Grounded!

In the wellness and spiritual circles it is very common to hear people telling each other to get grounded. But what exactly does that mean? I’m sure people will have lots of opinions about the meaning but I will just speak from my knowing and you can use this info however you like;-) 

To me, grounded means to allow your physical body and energy bodies to be fully connected to the energy of the planet. I ground myself and all my clients in each session by visualizing etc. But, walking barefoot in the grass or sand is an easy super powerful way to stay grounded and balanced! It may be too cold outside to do this or you might be afraid of stepping in your neighbors pet droppings:-D In that case you can purchase grounding mats, also called earthing mats. I’ve heard lots of great feedback about the mats. You can try one out but I’d still suggest allowing your bare feet to make contact on the ground as much as possible. The Holiday Trap

A funny thing happens during the holidays. People who are already maxed out and stressed out suddenly add even more to their to do lists. The sense of obligation is intense this time of year. With work parties, family gatherings and shopping; when is there time to rest and do things for yourself? 

Many people struggle with taking time for themselves all year round. Lots of us, especially women are taught to take care of others first. But always putting others needs first can be detrimental to our well being. We can also start to harbor a lot of resentment towards others and even towards ourselves for not setting healthy boundaries. The guilt that often comes with setting boundaries is a big sticking point fo most of us.  Feeling we should do this or that because its family and you gotta put family first. Or giving gifts to people we don’t really know or like. It is all very draining and not honoring of you.

YOU Time!

When was the last time you did something just for yourself? I often ask my clients, friends and family this question. They usually reply with an, ' I don’t have time!' or 'I just have way too much to do!'

Here’s the thing, if you consistently don’t put yourself first; it will negatively impact every area of your life.  Before you go into the stories like: 'I have to put my kids as top priority.', or 'If I don’t put work first I won’t be able to survive.', please stop and realize, that if your gas tank is empty or only partially full you can’t maintain this cycle without something eventually breaking down, and it just might be you.

Now, I’m not promoting selfishness, nor suggesting you ignore everyone else and what they require. But, I am encouraging to get real with yourself and realize that there are things we actually need as we are having this human experience.  Let’s talk about food for instance. I’ve lost...
