What’s Disturbing Your Sleep

When was the last time you felt truly energized?

If you have gotten accustomed to feeling tired most of the time or using caffeine to get through the day.

It might be time to do an assessment of your sleep habits.

Yes, how you’re spending your waking hours will definitely impact your energy levels but getting good sleep regularly is a common problem that many ignore.

From sleep apnea to hormonal imbalances, sleeping well has become a thing that only puppies get enough of.

I generally sleep very well, but a few weeks ago I had a few very high stress days and could really feel my cortisol and adrenaline was pumping out excessively.

There was one night in particular that I did NOT want to sleep deeply.

There was a fire nearby and although I was safe my body was still on high alert in case I needed to act quickly.

The idea is not to force yourself to relax, especially if there is good reason to be on high alert.

But, when the body is stuck in chronic hypervigilance, whether from emotional stress or a physical ailment you are much more likely to have difficulty falling and staying asleep.

I encounter many things in sessions daily and one common habit is the pattern of avoidance.

Although you may say you want to sleep better, it is possible you don’t feel safe to do that.

In that case, you can be gentle with yourself as you lightly ponder why you may not feel safe to fully relax and rest?

If you’re ready to release any fears or worries and sleep as peacefully as a puppy or kitten, check out my Deep Sleep Healing audio!
