Are You Doing What You Love?

What does being successful mean to you?

There’s no right or wrong answer to that; however, you’ve probably noticed success is often equated with money.

Also being envied by others, having some sort of reputation that you have value, wealth, or influence and voila you’re successful!

But, you must decide what kind of life you want to live. Too many people are working jobs they hate or have outgrown.

Giving the illusion that they are living this fabulous life, but miserable behind the scenes. And one thing I know for certain; if you’re not truly inspired by the path you’re on you will stop yourself one way or another.

What if you stop comparing yourself to everyone else’s seemingly amazing life and follow what’s true for your highest life vision?

I know it can feel scary to admit that maybe you’re not happy with how things are going.

Especially if tons of time and money were invested into a certain path.

But it's even more scary to look back over your life with regret.

Wishing you’d listened to your heart calling you to choose a different direction.

That could even include going back to something that you had dismissed or felt wasn’t right at the time.

Maybe you feel guilty that you’d disappoint others, or fear that you’re making a mistake.

But I believe if you’ve been having a nagging feeling for a while then it is worth investigating.

It could be that changing a few small things is all that’s required to boost your enthusiasm.

You can start by either taking an inventory of your satisfaction level in each life area.

Or, pick an area that you already know is feeling lackluster.

This isn’t about trying to create more balance in your life. Having total balance just isn’t going to happen.

There will always be things that you value and prioritize over others and that simply changes depending upon what your focus is at the time.

The goal here is to be honest about an area that you feel unhappy about.

Get curious about why you feel that way.

From there you will have more confidence to decide your next steps.

Whether it's to change a job, leave a relationship, or maybe add more fun hobbies to your life.

I like to reassess things at least every few months.

But, you can do it as often as you like and especially if you’ve been feeling restless.

This is NOT the time to play the victim and blame others for your choices or unhappiness.

It’s time to get clear and decide how you want the next few months or years to be.

Change starts as soon as you decide.

Have fun designing your life :-)
