Problems- Addiction to Stress and Anxiety

anxiety stress Feb 20, 2024

Do you think it's normal to be stressed out?

Maybe you think it’s even a sign that you’re doing things right.

Ya know, the belief that those who hustle and grind will be successful.

That if you keep pushing even if you feel sick and anxious it will all work out.

Guess what, it doesn’t work in the long run.

Sure, you might be able to maintain that pace for a while, even many years.

But, it's no way to truly live and enjoy life and it will eventually create issues that manifest as physical and mental struggles.

While it's true that even things that are good for us, like exercise/movement, are stressful.

We are not meant to live in a chronically stressed to the max state.

Our bodies are designed to go through stressful events but then to rebalance and stabilize.

All of that is in a perfect world.

Now for the fun part.

What are you trying to avoid by being chronically stressed?

What are you trying to gain or prove?

If you immediately feel defensive or think that you’re not doing any avoiding, you're just busy and motivated.

I encourage you to drop any defensiveness and be open and curious about the deeper reasons for staying stressed and busy.

I’ll share a personal story as an example.

About 10 years ago my mom was suddenly diagnosed with a disease and she died within 2 months.

During that short period, I was running around constantly busy and super stressed.

I could feel the excess adrenaline saturating my tissues and I woke up sick to my stomach every day.

Of course, I thought I was just super busy with work and balancing all my responsibilities

I didn’t realize at the time but I was trying to avoid the big awareness that my mom was suffering and that she was dying.

On top of that, I was aware of my family energetically.

All of the emotions that go along with knowing your loved one is sick.

To add another layer I noticed that I was aware of entities.

I remember as a child very vividly seeing beings that don’t have physical bodies.

I wasn’t afraid, I just honestly didn't want to deal with all that.

Well, all the awareness of that decided it was going to ask for my attention again LOL Great timing!

You may have some intense things going on like I did or yours may be more subtle.

The point is, I don’t believe life is meant to be nonstop busyness, stress, and distractions.

It's unhealthy and there’s so much more to life.

You can choose to slow down a bit and see what else is possible for you.

Maybe you need more help, time to rest and relax.

Or maybe you need to do more things that you love and enjoy.

That’s for you to decide, but if you don’t slow down long enough to check in you will never know.

All is well and it is safe to be aware.

Sending you lots of love :-)
